+2 on the fittment issues. Fitting was a pain.

I too laid fiberglass reinforcement around the flare. Mainly around the edges of the wheel opening and under where I rivited. I had to thicken the rivet spots so I could countersink the rivets and still have strength.

I learned not to use bondo to fill the rivet holes. I ended up digging it out and glassing the holes in. For some reason the bondo did not agree with the fiberglass.

If you are talking about the rear of the wheel well you will not have a problem with tire rub. The wheel does not move front to back but be careful with the original wheel well opening at the top. I removed about 3 inches off the top sloping down neatly to the bottom.

Having an inwards protrusion at the rear and front is a nice feature to close the gap between the flare and the body. Obviously the only actual wheel contact problem will be at the top.

Vince where did you get your flares? I thought they were GT racing, and the GT racing flares I got had no inwards protrusion.

I got them from GTRAcing. Mine had a almost two in backing looking at the rear of the flare from top. What I did was drilled through the outer surface of the flare but not the backing that will be up against the body. I applied the two part epoxy to this strip and bolted the flare with the epoxy on the back. No matter what you do you still have to bondo or FG the roughness between the flare and the body.

had to do the same with mine....I got my kit fitted for me (thank god!) And it seemed the rear flares proved the most challenging for my guy.

On the weekend i will get my guards sorted..hopefully all goes well

As far as the guards go on my car.......All is well thank god! No cutting or anything needed. My painter checked it out and said it wont rub at all

Here are some pics for you guys of the progress so far of my car.......In the pics you can see all the panels are sanded and body kit panels all moulded to the car. Within the week it should be all primed up

If you look to previous pics in the thread, the guards have been cut and rolled up to allow for more clearance

***UPDATES!***

Just been around today to check out progress on my car and the painter was just finishing priming it.

It was really good to see it all in the one colour with the bodykit

Here are some more Pics....

No. Working on other stuff at the moment - like brakes and suspension issues, and investigating EFI. Need to find someone here in Sydney who will help me fit and then paint the car for less than the cost of my house...

Do you have a factory spoiler? Can you just paint the spoiler and make it look better?
