OK so you lot have convinced me i can do this, and apparently i only need, new spring, new washer and new bolts.

So my next (obvious) question is, does anyone know of a good supplier to get these parts from (i'm in UK so cheap shipping if outside UK )

Not sure about parts supplier, but the US ones are also fine, and they probably ship overseas.

Don't forget to rebuild and fill the aluminum housing if you go ahead with this project...

Doesn't matter, it's the same wastegate...I think it's even a 911 part number...930- something?

Does anyone know if the UK turbo and/or wastegates ('81/'82) are the same as the US versions? Or are set up differently?
