Probably a silly question but is the "leather" in the tartan seats real leather or vinyl?
I think it is leather, but it would be silly to treat the seats with leather soap, oil and wax if they are vinyl _________________ 1982 Porsche 924 na My 924 blog

well the standard 924 seats are vinyl and some beauty company around here cleaned them and treated them with leather things and they look sweet ! so i guess no harm done. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

First I tried a combination of leather soap, oil and wax on a small area, but it did'nt work very well, dried out very fast and got a "milky" finish.
Then I found a bottle of Autoglym Leather care cream in my garage, and the instruction stated it was ment for leather but would also work on vinyl and even plastic parts.
I tried it and the result is very nice. It really brings out the color (black) and depth, and makes the vinyl look like expensive waxed leather, without looking too shiny. The dash and panels also looks very nice after the treatment. Now it feels like sitting in a new car
Sorry no pics yet, got to clean the carpets first _________________ 1982 Porsche 924 na My 924 blog
