|
|
Nacca ducts are open. I built a roof over mine
& made it look close to a 931 duct. Extra cooling for the exhaust mani.
Im thinking of filling and smmothing it in though Im first going to put
counter sunk flush mounted screw all around it securing it firmly to
the hood I might leave ut at that I dont know if I want to fill all around it
its so close to the ridge in the hood I would have to raise the ridge &
thats alot of work.

That design is more likely to draw air out of the engine compartment than bring it in. The "roof" kills the functionality. . . _________________ Toofah King Bad

Good an air-exchange leaves room for cold air to com in from somewhere.. the place that I got the duct from also has electric motors with a fan that fit inside the ducting that would ensure cold air being drawn in there only 23 bucks too. maybe Ill have to get one. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Just started laying some tape & came up with this design for the hood
first I sptayed on some orange then masked & sprayed on the blue
then cleared it with some white pearl added. Suppose Ill have to get a brush or something and get some blue inside the scoop there. I put the hood on today it looks pretty darn sharp.

I'm just curious as to what the reasoning was behind doing this mod... _________________ Josh, CPN

Well I was on a wild tear and I was gonna get a new hood
scoop anyways or another hood. Any ways I dont like it. Its getting a new fiberglass font fenders and all ... gt racing ot maybe I could find one used
up here in portland. I dont like the front end to much so it will get a new one for sure.
I like the one piece Lemans front end from gt racing without the hood. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

That obviously took a lot of work and the paint job is great.
That's not a real NACA duct though. |
