Do any of you know the piston diameter of the 931 rear brakes??

Many Thanks,

54mm front and 36mm rear. I think that's from the tech/spec book.

Yessir, the little book says 54mm-front, 36mm-rear for the 5-bolt, 4 wheel disc setup.
-And for the 4-bolt disc-front, drum-rear arrangement it's 48mm-front and 19.05mm-rear.

NOT TO WORRY , YOU are going to purchase a few master cylinders, before you are happy, even after measuring everything 10 times ,

Hi Wayne,

Tilton reckon that if i give them the specs of the car, they can size it all up in one shot. Well thats the theory anyway. Will be nice to get rid of the servo assistance anyway...

If you need more piston diam. at the rears, you can use 4bolt front pistons with barrels, they fit.

No, not complete calipers, because they have smaller space for pads+rotor (remember, vented rotor on 5lug vs solid on 4lug). Just the piston with the barrel or cylinder, whatever you call it.

HELLO Steve,

Yeah they will be able give you a master based ,based on the information , but it is very rare to get it right in one shot. as pedal feel is dependant on your driving style...

Yeah,
Usually it takes 3 attempts at sizing for most to be happy with master cylinder feel and performance.
