Got the block back from the machine shop so I painted it, oiled the bare surfaces, and it is now wrapped in a bag waiting for me to get around to assembly...

It's a spare block I have that I am rebuilding over the winter, had it cleaned, measured and prepped at the machine shop.
Sorry to dissappoint anyone from the "import tuner" crowd with the colour, I am kind of a plain guy... _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan

Or unless you have one of those rare and powerful JDM 924's
To each their own, some people like body kits and bright paint colours, and some of us like to appreciate the lines of the car in a more subtle colour. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

Sorry, should have put quotes around "import tuners" in that I meant folks who put giant wings on cars, neon kits underneath, lots of stickers, bottles of NOS, etc etc etc _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Nope, no snow yet! There was snow to the north of us (Lac La Biche, a couple of hours north).
I'd be careful though, depending on your route. I think the southern part of the province (Calgary/Lethbridge) is expecting snow over the next few days. Still nothing expected for Deadmonton. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Looks good, mate. Who did the cleaning/machining? I've got a 944 block that needs to be done. How much did they charge you? _________________ '84 944 - kid blew motor

Slam, got it done at:
E-C Automotive Machining Limited
8731 118 Avenue Northwest, Edmonton, AB T5B0T2
(780) 477-1088
The shop came recommened by Eurasia. I had the block hot tanked, 5 freeze plugs replaced and 3 oil galley plugs replaced, cyliders de-glazed for $140. The guys are super friendly, work was done quickly. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |
