Sure, you can powdercoat rims - it's highly recommended! It's wonderfully durable...
Hey, where'd you get that blast cabinet so cheap? How big is it??? I'd love to have one, since I have the air supply with my awesome new compressor... maybe a Christmas gift!

The cabinet is a great tool Vaughan...I've been using glass beads (80 grit) and they are very effective and gentle...I think I am going to get some more aggressive material like aluminium oxide (60 grit)...
I picked it up at a place called, "Princess Auto"...Nice name huh...I just tried a 14" wheel I had laying around and I can get it in there with room to blast...
I just picked up a new 5hp compressor too...Love my compressor.. |

Sorry Vince...I didn't see your post yesterday...Just went to page two...Sure...no problem...Send me an email and we'll work out the details...
Marky...powder coating looks great on wheels...Columbia Coatings even has a color for wheels, "wheel silver" or you could use any color...Great thing about wheels is they fit pefectly in the oven... |

on a side note, sand blasting can be an art as well as a tool.you cover a piece of glass with masking tape, and using carbon paper, you can trace any image onto the masking tape, than cut it out with a razor knife to expose the glass to be etched.you dont have to be an artist.you can get designs off the web, have print shop blow them up to any size.examples of what I'm talking about.

you can also do the same thing to powder coatings, using masking tape before you bake it,pull off tape to expose bare metal, to be coated with a second color after setting first one
