Holy friggin crap man that is clean. I've been looking under 924 hoods for over 20 years now and that still took me a few minutes to sort out stock vs. non stock parts.

You find a replacement head, they are cheap and plentiful. Welding unknown aluminum that has been heat cycled and impregnated with oil over the last 40 years is sketchy at best.

The reason I'm thinking of it is simply because the motor it will go on is a bit different than a stock 931.

I forget the actual build spec but it's something like :
